Unfortunately DBZ rarely shows any sort of redirection of strength in a technical sense, it focuses more on straight up parrying rather than going with the flow. Ture. But, and I'm playing devil's advocate here, I have incredible deaths precision with an arrow. But I don't really get to use that because my job involves a lot more raditiation. I'm not saying that Goku and the gang should absolutely be using the techniques all the time. And of course Feats > Statements, no doubt. But Goku is stated to be THE Master of the Universe. I'm sure he isn't perfect with it, but you mean to tell me he doesn't know even just a little bit of Judo?

Jirou can casually bust the Earth(about 5x bigger than ours) just if he accidentally hits it, while not even close to his full power. Toriko is being hyped up to being the strongest being or some s* in typical protagonist way so he's close to or above that. When Goku can lift trillions of tons with his own muscle strength he may stand a chance there Steve has clearly never been in a fight. Though I suppose it's all irrelevant. Attack potency is adorable and all, but without range it technically isn't up to snuff. I still don't see how he beats Galaxie's moon magic and I watch a s* ton more Dragon Ball Z than I do Sailor Moon. To play devil's advocate, it's not like Goku makes a habit of redirection exactly. Hmmm, based on strength I'm not even that sure he gets past Toriko, just based on how he usually fights. He loses a few times to him at least. In fact, I've seen him use some form of Judo with I think Boo. (Boo threw a punch and Goku just stepped in, grabbed around his head with his back towards him and whipped him forward) It's just it seems he tends to use that sort of Bruce Lee action flick kind of martial arts compared to more grapple oriented fighting styles. Now, when it comes to being the master of the universe. That's more to do with power than anything else and usually a statement dealing with anything of that sort deals with more power than anything, which Goku has in spades.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Yeah Toriko's raw physical strength is way too high to be simply redirected. Also he can punch like 100 times in one instant, which makes his opponent get hit with 100 full power punches. The anime is terrible but this is what the technique in question does: That's also way early in the series. No way does Goku tank that from current Toriko I doubt he'd handle a 100 ren but Toriko can probably go above that now anyway, for arguments sake let's limit him to what we know he's capable of. He can also regenerate so yeah straight hand to hand Goku dies.
